North Hills

 

The community of North Hills became a Town when it was incorporated in 1979. North Hills Entry

Designed as a residential community for people working in nearby locations, the residents chose to govern themselves with their own Mayor, Recorder and five council members instead of being part of Vienna or Parkersburg.

Located along Route 68 North, the Town of North Hills has easy access to I-77.

North Hills consists of the original neighborhoods of North Hills,  Brentwood and North Hills Extension. Brentwood Entrance to North Hills

North Hills has a rolling topography of wooded views; the homes here utilize variations of split foyers and two-story styles to best fit those lots.

The residents of North Hills pay an annual road maintenance fee of $350, used to maintain the roads and to keep the roads cleared in winter. So do not count on missing work or school due to inclement weather, because these roads are cleared promptly.

The population of North Hills was 858 in July 2007 with approximately 300 households. The estimated median household income in 2007 was $100,720,  believed to be the highest in West Virginia.

In 2009, the median sales price of homes in  was $167,400, there were 13 sales and the average days on the market was 114.

Summertime means Family Picnics on Memorial Dary, Fourth of July and Labor Day, Family Nights, Kiddie Parties, Teen/Tween Parties, Tailgate Party and a LUAU--Family fun for members.

Children in North Hills attend Vienna Elementary School, Jackson Middle School, and Parkersburg High School. Since the distance is greater than two miles, the children are bused to school.
